Head Pastry Chef - Luxury Hotel - Farnborough - Up to £38,000
Role Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pastry Chef in a 4-star contemporary and luxury hotel located in Farnborough. The main purpose of this role is to lead, inspire, motivate, and be accountable for the pastry kitchen department.
This is a high-pressure role requiring complete ownership of the guest experience, team performance, and administrative tasks, all delivered creatively and with care. The position involves working 5/7 days with a salary of up to £38,000.
Responsibilities as a Pastry Chef (Farnborough):
1. Lead the Pastry section
2. Train other pastry chefs
3. Develop innovative menu ideas with the lead chefs
4. Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation
5. Manage stock and GP control
Requirements to qualify for the role:
* Previous experience as a Senior Pastry Chef
* Experience in a busy restaurant environment, handling a minimum of 70 covers, peaking at 120
* A natural talent seeking to refine and develop culinary and management skills
* Willingness to work within a team and manage a brigade
* Ability to stay current with culinary trends
* Capacity to recognize, inspire, and develop future talent
* Understanding of diverse business mixes, including business guests, local guests, and hotel residents
