We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and skilled solicitor to join our busy office in Livingston The successful candidate will be required to run their own case load of conveyancing, leasing and executry work. In addition, they will play a key role in developing strategy and shaping the future of the firm with good partnership prospects. This is an in office position but hybrid working may be considered in the future. Duties/Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for: Handling own case load, of purchase and sale conveyancing including commercial conveyancing, leases, wills, powers of attorney and executry work with the ability to demonstrate strategic analysis and provide sound solution-orientated advice. Delivering excellent client care and advice and supporting clients throughout the duration of their transaction. Drafting legal documents for cases ranging from dispositions, standard securities, discharges, solvency documentation, minutes of agreement for a range of matters, bonds of caution, Wills, Powers of Attorney and other general work. You will need to be able to advise clients on the implications of legal documents, taking accurate instructions, ingathering and assessing information required from clients for the work being carried out. Work collaboratively with other team members to look after clients and to ensure continuous compliance with agreed service standards, assisting junior team members and assisting with training; Being actively involved in all practice areas to assist with business development, networking and strategic objectives in order to facilitate growth of the firm. Skills/Competencies A full unrestricted practising certificate. No claims history You will be a team player with excellent attention to detail, the ability to use your own initiative and to work to strict deadlines, within service standards. You should also have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Have a genuine interest in the work you are doing and be able to communicate with compassion and care to clients. You must also be committed to taking personal responsibility for your own work.
