HGV Class 1 Driver
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Warrington, Cheshire.

Shifts:
• Various shift patterns available, including rotating shifts
• Start times between 05:00 and 10:00
Rates of Pay:
• Weekday AM shifts – £18.18 per hour
• Saturday and Sunday AM shifts – £24.58 per hour
• Overtime (over 45 hours) – £21.63 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:
• Complete store deliveries (caged deliveries – approximately 3 to 4 drops per shift)
• Operate and drive HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) vehicles safely and efficiently
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks
• Ensure all goods are loaded, secured, and delivered correctly
• Adhere to UK traffic laws and company driving policies
• Communicate effectively with the transport office and customers
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly
• Assist with loading and unloading when required
Essential Skills:
• Valid UK Category C+E Driving Licence
• Minimum of 24 months' experience driving Category C+E vehicles
• Valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsements)
• Good level of spoken and written English
• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
• Strong understanding of UK transport legislation and working time rules
• Professional communication and customer service skills
Desirable Experience:
• Previous experience in store delivery or similar HGV Class 1 roles
Training Provided:
• On-site driving assessment (must be completed before starting)
• One-day paid induction following successful assessment
