What you will do
In this capacity, you will provide technical advice to end users by designing and scheduling lintels for a full range of UK construction projects, including housing, industrial and commercial.
* Design and schedule lintels for housing, industrial and commercial projects across the UK.
* Provide technical advice to end users, including schedules and structural calculations.
* Understand current and competitor products, identify strengths and weaknesses, and drive improvements in the product range.
* Promote the advantages of the product range technically and commercially, based on sound building technology knowledge.
* Ensure all work, including that undertaken by third‑party service providers on behalf of the Company, complies fully with health and safety, quality, environmental and corporate policies.
What you will bring
A minimum of an HNC qualification in Building, Structures or a related subject and experience in AutoCAD and building technology are required to fulfil this role.
Commercial awareness and technical skills essential for the role include:
* Understanding of housing and general building design.
* Ability to assess structural loads.
* CAD drawing and design proficiency.
* Documentation of design processes and changes.
* Practical understanding of system performance and installation.
* Product knowledge (training provided).
* IT proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and CLASS (training provided).
* Proven track record of working under pressure and meeting tight timescales.
