Teaching Assistant We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic full-time Teaching Assistant to support students in Key Stages 3 and 4 at a welcoming secondary school in the Bury area. This role is perfect for someone passionate about helping young people thrive - whether you already have experience working with ages 11-16 or you're a recent graduate eager to gain valuable classroom experience. Position Details * Location: Bury * Position: Teaching Assistant (Secondary) * Start Date: December 2025 * Contract Type: Full-time, temporary * Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm * Minimum Pay: £450.00 - £550.00 per week Teaching Assistant Role Overview * Provide dedicated support to students across KS3 & KS4, helping them stay engaged and confident in their learning * Assist with a variety of classroom activities and deliver small-group interventions to boost student progress * Support students with additional learning, SEND, or emotional needs when required * Help maintain a calm, positive, and consistent learning environment * Work closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and parents to support student wellbeing * Contribute to wider school activities, including exam support and general classroom duties Experience, Training & Qualifications * Previous experience working in a secondary school or supporting young people * GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above) * Up-to-date safeguarding training (can be provided) * Prevent, behaviour management, and FGM training (can be provided) Requirements * Right to Work in the UK * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) * Two professional references covering the last two years How to Apply Please apply with an up-to-date CV including your full education and employment history from secondary school onwards.
