*whilst this is a scale for progression, the starting salary is point 32

About the Role
SAMH delivers Children and Young People education and support in a variety of locations across
Scotland. We are currently developing a new team in Moray to support schools and
communities to support the mental health of children and young people, families and staff who
work with them. We will deliver a range of mental health capacity building workshops, training
programs, information sessions and resources. We will also support young people who are experiencing low mood and anxiety on a one to one or group basis through a community link approach and through the delivering our Time for Me Programme.
The Team Leader will lead a team of Children and Young People (CYP) Practitioners and along with them, connect with schools and community groups to deliver the range of SAMH CYP programmes across Moray. The Team Leader will work closely with the Children and Young People Service Manager and will lead on the planning, delivery, quality assurance, and evaluation of the service to ensure it is delivered effectively and meets its intended outcomes. This role will also support development work across the wider CYP Team and organisation, as agreed with the Service Manager.
What we are looking for
We are looking for individuals with experience in line management and leading a successful team. They will be experienced in delivering individual support and group work to young people around their mental health and wellbeing as well as experienced in workshop facilitation, training delivery and development.
With exceptional communication skills and ability to manage own case load as well as supporting the case load of CYP Practitioners in their team, the Children and Young People Team Leader will work flexibly to deliver the wide range of programmes on offer, whilst ensuring practice is of the highest quality at all times.
