Executive Assistant to CEO
Hybrid – 2 days in office
Up to £55,000 + benefits
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Executive Assistant to join a privately funded, mission-led organisation operating at the intersection of financial services, technology and innovation.
This organisation is intentionally small, highly collaborative and fast-moving. Backed by private industry and working closely with senior stakeholders across government, finance and innovation, it has built a strong national profile in a short period of time. With a team of around 10, it combines a start-up mindset with meaningful, purpose-driven work.
The Role:
The organisation is seeking an Executive Assistant to the CEO, with light-touch support to the wider leadership team. This is a trusted partner role, ideal for an EA who enjoys autonomy, variety and close exposure to senior decision-making.
You’ll support a busy CEO, helping manage a dynamic workload involving high-profile stakeholders and multiple priorities, while also contributing to the smooth running of the leadership team.
Key responsibilities include:

* Full and complex diary management for the CEO, plus support to the COO and two Directors
\t
* Coordinating meetings with senior external stakeholders, including board-level and public-sector contacts
\t
* Preparing agendas, attending leadership meetings, and tracking actions and follow-ups
\t
* Managing national and occasional international travel arrangements
\t
* Supporting meetings, events and stakeholder engagements
\t
* Providing general administrative and operational support as required
This role will naturally evolve and grow, offering valuable insight into how a CEO and senior leadership team operate, while remaining firmly grounded in the core EA skillset.
About You:
This role would suit an Executive Assistant who thrives in, fast-paced environments, such as start-ups, small financial firms, consultancies, or agile not-for-profit organisations.
You are likely to be:
Adaptable, calm under pressure and comfortable managing competing priorities. Experienced in a boutique or early-stage organisation, where ambiguity and change are part of the day-to-day.
Confident supporting senior leaders and able to challenge constructively when needed.
Curious, proactive and quick to learn, with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving. Highly organised, detail-oriented and emotionally intelligent, Personable, collaborative and a positive presence within a small team.
Experience within financial services or a related sector is helpful but not essential. Mindset, capability and attitude are far more important.
You’ll likely have 5+ years’ experience as an EA, and see this as a career-building role supporting at CEO level, while still enjoying being hands-on and close to the detail.
