Ward Clerk - Gynaecology Assessment Unit
The opening date for this role is 15 June 2026.
We are looking to employ a highly motivated and organised individual to join our Gynaecology Assessment Unit.
The post is part‑time 25 hours per week, with an evening shift of 17:00 – 22:00, Monday to Friday. Please consider that there may be occasional day and weekend hours required to cover staff sickness and annual leave.
The role involves handling telephone and face‑to‑face enquiries, as well as a full range of administrative and clerical duties in a busy, fast‑moving environment with sensitive subject matter.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and proficient keyboard skills.
* Ability to deal with sensitive/confidential issues, work as a team player, and meet the challenges of a demanding but rewarding role.

Skills
* Good organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines.
* Ability to work independently and use own initiative.
* Good communication skills, able to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
* Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
* Excellent keyboard skills.
* Practical knowledge of PAS, Symphony and other NHS IT systems.
* Awareness of current issues within the NHS.
Experience
* Previous reception experience covering a wide range of office duties.
* Experience in a healthcare setting.
