Join the Triumph Family as a Temporary Test Engineer on a 1-Year Fixed Term Contract!
We are seeking a Test & Development Engineer at Oset Bikes, a leader in children's electric off-road motorcycles and part of the Triumph Motorcycle Group.
In this role you will take responsibility for the delivery of the testing & development of several components on a vehicle, including chassis and electrical testing as well as performance validation.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Work with development engineers to create test plans for verification of designs and sourced parts.
* Set up and run development tests using electrical and mechanical expertise, and produce detailed technical reports.
* Develop test equipment and source suitable external test centres
* Maintain test reports and asset registers with weekly reporting to management.
Requirements:
* Min. 3 years in an electro-mechanical manufacturing company
* Mechanical experience in a similar role testing vehicles or equipment in line with ISO standards.
* Excellent understanding of DC systems and test set up
* Proven experience in writing technical reports in accordance with verification and validation procedures.
* Experience using and implementing hydraulic or pneumatic test rigs for lifecycle testing of mechanical components and assemblies
* Accurate data recording and forward thinking to ensure key information is captured
* Work through test plans with minimal supervision
* Work with international suppliers and test houses to achieve end goal
* Practical and applicable knowledge of UK and EU standards and legislation
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week.
