Job summary We are looking to recruit self-motivated individual to join the Domestic Department at Worthing Hospital as a Domestic Supervisor, who can work on their own and/or as part of a team, the post holder will be responsible for managing Domestic staff on a daily basis ensuring National Cleaning Standards are upheld. Q ualifications and Experience As per Job Specification Analytical and Judgemental skills To maintain effective and efficient records of all Domestic services, observing varying trends and evidencing them to the Senior Domestic Supervisor. Communicate daily with all users regarding any variation in services that may be required. Using judgement to rearrange priorities when necessary and in consultation with the Assistant Domestics Manager; implementing contingency plans as appropriate Understand and adhere to procedures for dealing with complaints and ensure they are dealt with promptly and sympathetically. Be capable of writing a report of an incident if required to do so. Planning and Organisational skills Attend daily briefing meeting with the Senior Domestic Supervisor, and liaise with other Supervisors. To ensure operational continuity and appraise colleagues of any human resource, disciplinary or logistical problems Respond to the bleep and subsequent messages, deploying staff appropriately. Planning / scheduling of rosters and appropriate annual leave within the team to ensure the service is well covered at all times. Knowledge of various cleaning methods including Hydrogen Peroxide.
