Overview Important: All applicants must be able to obtain Security Clearance *minimum 5 years UK residency. All applicants must hold British Nationality as their sole / primary nationality. - The Document Controller edits and reviews engineering documents to ensure they meet customer requirements and standards. - Much of the documentation the Document Controller will be working on is customer-focused; therefore, the Document Controller is responsible for ensuring content is delivered with an emphasis on presentation, accuracy, clarity, and usability. Key Responsibilities:
1. Implement and maintain document control measures.
2. Ensure document identification, format and structure meets customer requirements.
3. Manage the use of standard document templates across the business.
4. Support the creation and update of documentation from an editorial perspective.
5. Ensure documents are of a suitable standard to enter formal review.
6. Manage the release of documents, including transmittal to and from customers.
7. Support the configuration control team activities when required.
8. Supporting the use of a new document management system
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
9. A strong eye for detail and the capacity to understand the needs of the end-user to ensure that content is designed and delivered accordingly.
10. A sound understanding of Microsoft Word and proficiency in the use of other Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Visio and PowerPoint.
11. Able to work alone and collaboratively; creating, proofreading, and editing documentation.
12. Have knowledge of related engineering disciplines (e.g. mechanical engineering, production engineering and electrical/electronic engineering) with ability to read and understand engineering language and terminology.
