About the role
We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment, providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and helping maintain the store’s appearance.
You will play an important role in the daily operations of our store, always aiming to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback, ensuring a safe environment for customers and staff.
You will be Responsible For
* Serving customers with passion and pride, offering natural, excellent service.
* Encouraging customer feedback via the ‘have your say’ survey.
* Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines to meet customer needs.
* Applying training to ensure safety and compliance.
* Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
* Being knowledgeable about store performance and contributing to profit delivery.
* Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
* Clocking in and out accurately to ensure correct pay.
* Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment as required.
* Following the think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Responding promptly to assistance calls or interventions at self-service checkouts.
* Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organized store environment.
* Potentially managing shifts in the absence of supervisors.
* Following all training to ensure safety, legality, and store standards.
If applicable, duties include managing the Post Office Local, requiring background checks.
