An opportunity has arisen for a Salaried Dental Officer to join the Public Dental Service in Orkney. The successful applicant will be joining an established team of Dentists and Dental Care Professionals in delivering a range of dental services to the whole population of Orkney, particularly addressing unmet need and reducing inequalities. Our service provides the full range of General Dental Services in addition to Orthodontics, Oral (and Maxillofacial) Surgery, Special Care Dentistry and Restorative Dentistry. This post may provide additional opportunities for upskilling or training in many of these areas and therefore any declaration of a special interest area would be welcomed.
We are looking for a clinician who makes patient care a priority and who thrives working with a range of patient groups. Applicants are expected to have a high level of skill, be confident to work within their competencies and adopt a reflective, self-critical approach. We have excellent facilities and a fantastic team of experienced staff.
Applicants require full GDC registration and must be eligible to hold a Board Dental List Number in Scotland. They must have excellent communication skills and the drive to provide outstanding service.
