Learning Support Assistant (LSA) We’re looking for a caring and reliable Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a specialist SEN school in Bridgwater. This role would suit someone who genuinely enjoys helping children with additional needs and wants to make a real difference every day. The Role – Learning Support Assistant (LSA) As an LSA, you’ll be working closely with pupils aged 4–19, supporting them both in the classroom and around the school. Your role will involve: Providing 1:1 LSA support and small-group help to keep pupils engaged and progressing. Working with children who may have ASD, communication needs, sensory needs, PMLD or physical difficulties. Helping to create a calm, positive environment where pupils can learn at their own pace. Building consistent, trusting relationships with pupils and staff. Working as part of a team that includes teachers, therapists and other LSAs. Using visual aids, communication tools or Makaton where appropriate. No two days are the same, but every day is rewarding.
