Roke: Commercial Sales Lead - Solar
Location: South England (Hybrid / Field-Based)
Salary: Up to £65,000 + bonus/commission

About the Role
This is a commercial leadership position with clear accountability for sales performance, profitability, and client relationships. You’ll be responsible for originating, negotiating, and closing high-value commercial solar and energy projects, ensuring that contracts deliver maximum value for both the business and its clients.
You’ll play a key role in defining commercial strategy, protecting margins, and driving sustainable revenue growth as the business continues to expand across the UK.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Take full accountability for sales targets, pipeline development, and high-value deal conversion.
* Lead complex contract discussions, manage terms, and ensure profitable outcomes for all parties.
* Identify, qualify, and secure new opportunities across construction, infrastructure, and renewable energy markets.
* Deepen relationships with key clients to extend scope, increase spend, and strengthen partnerships.
* Structure deals to protect financial and operational interests.
* Deliver accurate forecasting, pricing models, and reporting to support strategic decisions.
* Work closely with delivery, finance, and senior leadership to align sales outcomes with company goals.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in commercial sales, business development, or account management within the solar, renewables, or construction sectors.
* Strong track record of closing high-value B2B contracts and achieving sales growth targets.
* Excellent financial and commercial acumen—comfortable with P&L ownership, forecasting, and risk assessment.
* Skilled negotiator with the confidence to engage at C-suite or senior procurement level.
* Proactive, results-oriented mindset with the ability to influence strategic decisions.
* A natural relationship builder who thrives in fast-moving, entrepreneurial environments.
