Do you want to support children in need of a strong role model?\n\nAn exciting opportunity has arisen to work as an SEN Classroom Assistant at a Special Needs School in Reading. The school are looking for a caring, proactive and friendly individual, with a natural ability to connect with and support vulnerable children.\n\nThe school provides education for children aged 3 to 16 with a range of disabilities, including Autism, communication challenges, social interaction difficulties and language delay.
The students need a positive role model in the classroom, who can support their learning, academic progress, social development and independence.\n\nAs an SEN Classroom Assistant, you will:\n\nEncourage students to engage and socialise with their peers appropriately\nBuild students' confidence, self-esteem and self-belief\nEncourage positive behaviours through effective behaviour management strategies\nEnsure safety and well-being of students during activities\nParticipate in relevant SEN training provided by the schoolTo be a successful SEN Classroom Assistant, you should be determined, resilience and adaptable, tailoring your approach to meet the needs of each child.
