Our client, Worcestershire County Council, is seeking an agency Social Worker to do a specialist Private Law Pathfinder response role.
This role will last 3 months initially and is paid at £33.30 umbrella.
The role will involve the following:
* We are looking for experienced and motivated Social Workers to become our Private Law Pathfinder response, supporting families to resolve private law disputes in a child-focused and restorative way.
* As part of the private law pathfinder roll out, Worcestershire is working with Cafcass and the Family Court to deliver a new, evidence-based approach that puts children’s voices at the heart of decision-making.
* This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of innovative practice and shape how we work with families experiencing conflict outside public law proceedings.
* You’ll complete Child Impact Reports under the Pathfinder model, working closely with Cafcass, legal professionals, and the court.
* Your role will be to assess the needs and wishes of children, explore family dynamics, and provide clear, analytical recommendations to help families move forward safely and sustainably.
Duties to include:
* Undertake high-quality assessments and complete Child Impact Reports in line with national Pathfinder guidance.
* Work directly with children, parents and carers to understand their experiences, wishes and feelings.
* Liaise effectively with Cafcass, the Family Court, and partner agencies to support safe and timely outcomes.
* Provide clear, evidence-based analysis and recommendations to assist the court and families in decision-making.
* Maintain accurate and timely case records in accordance with statutory requirements and local policy.
* Contribute to service learning and development as part of a reflective and supportive team environment.
Requirements of the role:
* Qualified Social Worker
* Fully Social Work England registered
* 3 years post-qualified experience in employment of a local authority (DFE rules)
* Experience of court work (public or private law) is highly desirable.
