Overview
A vacancy has arisen within the Glasgow Psychological Trauma Service, for a Consultant Clinical/Counselling Psychologist.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical leadership, hold delegated responsibility for the governance of psychological therapies within the service, and deliver and supervise therapies for Complex Trauma.
* Provide a specialised psychology service to clients of the Glasgow Psychological Trauma Service and the systems and services supporting them.
* Offer highly specialist psychological assessment, therapy and supervision, and provide advice and consultation on clients’ psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and other non-professional carers.
* Work autonomously within professional guidelines and the service’s policies and procedures across all sectors of care.
* Demonstrate leadership, managerial, professional and clinical skills to meet the demands of a highly specialised service.
* Utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the Trauma Service area.
Qualifications
* HCPC registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologists with postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology (or equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS or HCPC.
* Studies should include models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies, and lifespan developmental psychology.
