Were looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porter to join the team at a beautifully restored 19th-century country house hotel located just outside Preston. The property features 31 elegantly designed bedrooms, extensive grounds, and a strong reputation for exceptional hospitality, weddings, and special events.
Working as part of a busy kitchen team, youll help support the smooth running of the operation, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and efficiency at all times.
About the Role
As a Kitchen Porter, youll play an essential role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly. Your duties will include:
Washing pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment
Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
Assisting chefs with basic food preparation when required
Organising stores and deliveries
Ensuring waste is disposed of correctly
Supporting the wider kitchen team during busy periods
About You
Were looking for someone who:
Has experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar back-of-house role
Works well under pressure, especially during busy service times
Has a positive, can-do attitude and enjoys being part of a team
Maintains high standards of cleanliness and organisation
Is dependable, punctual, and willing to learn
