Are you a patient, resilient Behaviour Mentor with experience supporting KS2 pupils with SEMH and SEND needs? We are working with a welcoming primary school seeking a confident professional to provide targeted behavioural and emotional support across Key Stage 2.
This is a rewarding long-term opportunity to make a real impact, supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups to help them regulate emotions, improve behaviour, and re-engage with learning.
What You'll Be Doing:
Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring for KS2 pupils with SEMH/SEND
Implement behaviour support plans and tailored interventions
Track and monitor pupil progress, providing regular feedback
Support emotional regulation and social skills development
Work closely with the wider pastoral and safeguarding team
Build strong, positive relationships with pupils and families
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience supporting KS2 pupils
Experience working with SEMH and SEND needs
Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or relevant)
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
Confidence contributing to and working with Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs)
Ability to use ABC charts, tracking tools or pastoral logs to monitor behaviour and identify patterns
Understanding of restorative practices, de-escalation techniques, and SEMH interventions suited to a primary setting
A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning
