Job Description Portfolio Executive – XWB Programmes and Projects Full time. Derby / Hybrid 3 days on-site What you will be doing: We have an exciting opportunity for a Portfolio Executive to join the Trent XWB Commercial Aviation Team. The Portfolio Executive is accountable for co-ordinating the effective and efficient operation of the XWB portfolio, driving delivery of major projects and programmes in line with company strategy, business case and business plans. Provide leadership and reporting of the collation of demand, prioritisation and control of projects and programmes, in line with the strategic and operational objectives of the business. Support the business leadership team through appropriate portfolio governance. Lead the integration between the programme and engineering teams in XWB. Manage the relationship with customers specific to the XWB product change portfolio, i.e. communications with the Airline Support Teams, Customer Focus Groups etc. Lead the requirement definition and delivery of PM professionalism for the XWB portfolio. Responsibilities: Ensure the portfolio evolves to reflect changes to strategic objectives and business priorities and that resources are allocated through effective change control. Undertake investment appraisals, coordinate portfolio prioritisation and report through standard governance accordingly. Ensure the business case data (particularly costs, benefits and risks) are prepared on a consistent and reliable basis across the portfolio. Identify constraints within the portfolio and work to overcome them. Identify lessons learned and support assurance (e.g. PILM) throughout the project lifecycle to promote a culture of continuous improvement in how projects and programmes are delivered. Promote an energised culture that is focussed on collaborative working in the interests of the organisation as a whole. Identify and implement improvements to portfolio, programme and project management practices working with relevant teams across the organisation and the central Function. Why Rolls-Royce? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and maintain productive cross-functional relationships. STEM background desired due to the nature of the portfolio content. Member of a professional body and working towards APM Chartership qualification or equivalent is desired.
