Job Title: Warehouse and Assembly Manager

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Warehouse Manager to lead our site:based operation in Swindon where you can make a real impact.
This is a critical role combining hands:on operations and people management. Youll oversee a small, dedicated team of Warehouse and Assembly staff to achieve flexibility, productivity and efficiency with a strong desire to exceed customer expectations.
About the role:
Warehouse Operations:
* To lead, motivate and develop team members through performance management to achieve KPIs/objectives
* Oversee all warehouse activities, managing the stock from receipt to dispatch
* Ensure workload priorities are clearly understood and communicated to the team
* Support and mentor the Warehouse Team Leader to run day:to:day shop floor activities effectively and independently
* Monitor all aspects of the warehouse functions including performance, shipments, risks, and improvement opportunities.
* Champion and maintain high:quality output through training, coaching, and monitoring against strict quality standards.
* Ensure adherence to H and S policies and ISO requirements
* Promote a strong team culture on:site by building close relationships with staff and stakeholders and being visible and approachable as a leader
* Resolve customer service issues through working closely with other departments
* Manage absence and holiday allocations, return:to:work processes, clocking records, emails, H and S records
* Work to and within provided budgetary constraints for warehouse expenditures
* Undertake stock control to take action to reduce stock loss and damages
* To utilise WMS to drive efficiency improvements for the whole operation
Assembly Operations:
* Plan and organise staff resources to ensure Assembly activities are completed to customer timescales and quality and workload priorities are taken into account
* Ensure smooth running of the Assembly operation, minimising downtime and maximising efficiency
* Ensure all parts required for assembly tasks are available and product moves are reflected in the system.
About you:
* 3+ years in warehouse management in similar role and working with digital WMS
* Proven success managing small teams in a hands:on leadership role
* Demonstrated ability to coach and support staff through growth and change
* Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and risk assessment practices
* Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook and working with data systems (Odoo)
* Must have Aisle Master and Counterbalance forklift licenses
* Relationship:driven leadership style : able to connect with people at all levels
* A mindset for process improvement, problem:solving
* Strong organisational skills and methodical approach
* Ability to remain calm under pressure
* A strong character with a deep sense of ownership and able to lead from the front, demonstrating honesty and integrity at all times
* A can do attitude is essential, along with the drive and determination
The working hours are Mon to Fri 8am to 4pm but flexibility is expected on container days and covering for absences.
Quarterly stock takes are undertaken so you may be required to work at weekends.
