We are currently recruiting for a passionate and experienced salesperson to join the Wadworth commercial team and lead our ambitious growth plans. This position is a mobile role; with some time, each month expected in our offices at the brewery in Devizes. Travel to wholesale partners, existing and prospective customers across the country is a necessity on a highly regular basis. The role As Head of Sales, you will be responsible for the full performance of our National Sales Division across all lines of the P&L. You will have experience of working in an indirect sales model, collaborating with wholesale partners to maximise sales and distribution at the end outlet level. Responsibilities We have a high-quality range of award-winning cask ales, led by our Wadworth 6X hero brand. We're looking for someone to grow the partnerships we already have in place whilst pushing into new business opportunities. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will work closely with the Marketing and Customer Services teams. Key responsibilities include: Deliver day to day great account management with our existing customer base, building relationships and a contact matrix that makes Wadworth an indispensable partner. Leverage all lines of the P&L account to maximise the Operating Profit of the Sales Division. Consider pricing and promotional effectiveness to grow sales volume and stockists. Increase rate of sale of our beers by providing collateral support and a promotional calendar of activity to support our key wholesalers in collaboration with the Wadworth Marketing team. Work with Customer Services to increase engagement with our largest and most loyal stockists while targeting new hero outlets. Being a brand guardian, positively promoting Wadworth through all channels and activities Work with the Commercial Director to build future strategy including potential for increased brewing capacity, wider launch of our craft beer range and requirement for further sales resource. A member of the wider Wadworth leadership team who can challenge and support others to maintain the high standards we set for ourselves. The person We are looking for a passionate self-starter, who is comfortable influencing all lines of the P&L. You will love building relationships with customers and ideally have an existing network of wholesale contacts that means you will get off to a fast start. You will fit well into the Wadworth culture of feeling pride and passion for the business while being challenging of why things are done in a particular way. You will be prepared to do the strategic thinking and high value customer negotiations whilst also placing value and importance on great customer service to every outlet in collaboration with the Customer Services team. You will have previous sales experience in the On-Trade, ideally in the National Wholesale sector, not necessarily in beer or drinks more widely.
