Portsmouth Water is seeking a dedicated Field Support Specialist to play a key role in our smart metering rollout. In this position, you will undertake on-site field visits to support the installation and commissioning of smart meters, as well as provide follow-up hypercare to ensure accuracy and performance. Your work will help us maintain full compliance with MOSL Market Performance Framework Metrics and the Ofwat BR-MeX ODI, contributing directly to service excellence for our customers.
What will you be doing?
Key Responsibilities
Undertake surveys to establish the feasibility of meter installs.
Monitor smart data for continuous flow and arrange any necessary follow up activities
Pro-active operational management if a non-household smart meter is not communicating in line with our Smart Metering processes.
Undertake site visits / customer appointments where it is identified having a Field Technician on site would be of benefit.
Communicate and work with both Retailers and customers when leak analytics are triggered or other alarms. Be present during the installation of non-household smart meters alongside Cappagh, when required.
Follow all required processes in accordance with the Operational Performance Standards defined within MOSL’s Market Performance Framework that relate to the rollout of non-household smart meters and follow up activities.
Update MOSLs Central Market System (CMOS) in accordance with the Market Performance Standards defined within MOSL’s Market Performance Framework for activities that relate to the rollout of NHH smart meters and any necessary follow up activities.
Undertake necessary desktop analysis to ‘right size’ meters where applicable.
Contact non-household customers and arrange appointments for survey and smart meter installation.
Liaise when required with field teams or contractors undertaking work
Review work order results from the field teams and/or Contractors in relation to non-household smart meter rollout and any other associated follow up activities and respond to bilateral requests from retailers to ensure positive non-household customer outcomes.
Undertake necessary updates on CRM systems.
Record accurate ‘action’ dates for Operational Performance Standards metric reporting.
Review what Operational Performance metrics are due and ensure the appropriate work is undertaken in time to meet the metric.
Manage inbound contact via phone and email.
Build and develop relationships with non-household customers for B-MeX (Business Customer Satisfaction Survey) qualitative surveys
