Salary

£35,000 - £53,200 FTE (DOE) plus £5,000 Welcome Bonus (Welcome Bonus paid as £2,500 after completion of one month and £2,500 after completion of final probation, plus £3,000 Relocation package. Relocation package dependent/ agreed based on distance) (T&Cs apply)


Hours

37.5 hours per week, 8:30am - 4:30pm Mon–Fri. Part-time hours may be considered.


Contract

Permanent. Term-time only or flexibility around full-time contract can be discussed based on personal circumstances.


Essential

Full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.

The Role

We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our in-house clinical team at Baston House School. You will work with the education team to embed Speech and Language Therapy approaches at the whole school level through assessment, observation, consultation, training and joint interventions. You will support pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, are neurodivergent, or have SEMH needs, within multidisciplinary teams guided by practice standards. You will have a designated clinical supervisor and be supported on site by a Lead Clinician. You will have a high level of presence and visibility within the school, collaborate with education colleagues, and contribute to staff training. Regular reviews and consultations will support embedding clinical excellence.

Essential Criteria

* Recognised Speech & Language Therapy degree
* Valid and up-to-date HCPC Registration
* Registered member of RCSLT
* Minimum 3 years practicing experience with the client group in a similar setting
* Strong knowledge and clinical understanding underpinned by theory and practice
* Experience in multidisciplinary working across a range of settings with some responsibility for service and team performance
* Experience in working with families/relatives and carers
* Experience in developing training and giving presentations
* Experience in professional and clinical supervision
* Experience in taking part in research projects and audits
* Exceptional relationship-building, analytical and judgment skills
* Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Advanced knowledge of coreSpeech and Language Therapy practice and RCSLT standards
* Knowledge of neurodivergence, cognitive differences and trauma-informed practice
