We are currently partnering with an award-winning drama school based in Surrey, who are recruiting for an Interim Head of Finance to join their growing team.
This is a 3-month contract position which will either be an FTC with a salary of up to £55,000 (subject to experience) or a temporary position with a more flexible daily rate.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Managing a team of 5 ( Finance Manager, Finance & Funding Officer, Finance & Payroll Officer, Finance Assistant and Purchase Ledger Clerk)
Responsible for staff training and development, 1-2-1s and appraisals
Overseeing the organisations payroll for 75 staff and additional casual staff
Assisting in month-end reporting and analysis
Assisting with budget and forecast management
Partner with budget holders across the school
Experience required:
Experience in a similar role managing a Finance team
Experience working within education or performing arts environment would be fantastic, but not essential
Proven experience providing finance business partnering
Knowledge and experience of product and project costing and budget preparation
Running an in-house payroll proficiently
Skills/qualifications required:
Ideally fully qualified
Strong Excel skills
Any experience using Sage200 would be beneficial, but not essential
Homeworking:
This is a hybrid role, with home working available
Working hours :
37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri
