Title: 2nd shift CNC Machine Operator

Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate CNC machines such as plasma cutters, beam drill lines, and angle lines to process structural steel components.
* Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine job specifications.
* Load and secure steel beams, plates, and other materials using overhead cranes and rigging equipment.
* Monitor machine operation, making adjustments for accuracy and quality as needed.
* Use precision measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and squares to verify tolerances.
* Perform basic programming edits or adjustments to accommodate different material sizes or thicknesses.
* Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery to ensure reliable operation.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with OSHA and shop safety protocols.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred.
* 2+ years of CNC machine operation in a structural steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing environment.
* Ability to read and interpret structural steel shop drawings.
* Skilled in using precision measurement tools.
* Experience with overhead cranes, forklifts, and rigging preferred.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
