Funds Associate (1–5 PQE) – International Law Firm
Are you a talented associate with 1–5 years’ PQE, looking to join a high-performing investment funds team in London? This is a unique opportunity to advise leading fund managers and institutional investors on complex fund formation, secondaries, and investment mandates across asset classes.
About the Team:
Our client’s London-based Funds team is part of a globally integrated practice advising on fund formation, investor commitments, and GP-led secondaries across private equity, infrastructure, real estate, venture capital, private credit and digital assets. The team operates within a broader transactional group and collaborates closely with regulatory and tax specialists across jurisdictions.
The practice is known for its meritocratic culture, where associates are given responsibility based on capability rather than PQE, and are encouraged to take ownership of client relationships and mandates. The team benefits from dedicated knowledge and business development support, and is part of a global funds group spanning North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
Recent mandates include:
* Advising a global private equity manager on the launch of its flagship fund

* Supporting a credit fund manager on a GP-led restructuring
* Advising a venture capital firm on the formation of a digital assets fund
The Role:
You will:
* Advise fund managers and institutional investors on fund formation, investments and secondaries
* Draft and negotiate fund documentation and investor side letters
* Coordinate multi-jurisdictional teams across regulatory, tax and corporate disciplines
* Contribute to business development, know-how and training initiatives
* Collaborate closely with colleagues across the global funds network
About You:
* 1–5 years’ PQE in investment funds or private equity transactions

* Strong technical knowledge and commercial awareness
* Excellent drafting and communication skills
* Proactive and collaborative team player
