Delegated Authority – Binding Authority Agreement Technician
My client is a well-established, forward‑thinking and International Lloyd’s Broker known for its exceptional market reputation, high staff retention, and commitment to developing its people. They operate across multiple specialty insurance and reinsurance lines, partnering closely with underwriters, brokers and coverholders to deliver high‑quality, compliant solutions across the delegated authority space.
With continued growth across its delegated authority portfolio, the client is now seeking a skilled Delegated Authority – Binding Authority Agreement Technician to support the administration, governance and continuous improvement of its Binding Authority operations.
Role Overview
This role is central to ensuring the smooth set‑up, oversight and compliance of Binding Authority Agreements. The successful candidate will take ownership of binder administration, bordereaux management, regulatory adherence and stakeholder support, ensuring all delegated authority activities meet the highest standards within the Lloyd’s and London Market.
Binding Authority Agreement Administration
* Set up, draft, renew and maintain Binding Authority Agreements within internal and Lloyd’s systems (Whitespace, ATLAS, DCOM).
* Ensure all binder documentation is accurate, complete and fully compliant with governance and Lloyd’s requirements.
* Maintain oversight of key dates, endorsements, renewals and contractual milestones across the delegated authority portfolio.
* Oversee the collection, validation and reconciliation of risk, premium and paid bordereaux from Coverholders and intermediary brokers.
* Upload and reconcile bordereaux within platforms such as DA SATS, Tide and internal systems.
* Identify, investigate and resolve discrepancies to maintain strong data integrity and timely reporting.
Compliance & Governance
* Support coverholder due diligence, audits and annual compliance reviews.
* Monitor and record coverholder performance, including adherence to underwriting authority limits.
* Maintain strong audit trails and contribute to regulatory reporting through Lloyd’s systems, including DAM.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Serve as a central liaison between underwriters, brokers, coverholders and internal teams.
* Respond to technical queries related to Binder Agreements and provide clear, timely updates to stakeholders.
* Contribute to process enhancements and system optimisation across the delegated authority workflow.
* Support senior leaders with MI reporting and data‑driven insights to strengthen operational performance.
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience within delegated authority, binder administration or Binding Authority Agreement management.
* Experience within the Lloyd’s or wider London Market.
* Strong working knowledge of delegated authority systems such as ATLAS, DCOM, DA SATS and DAM.
* High degree of accuracy with strong numerical and analytical skills.
* Confident communicator capable of collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
* Strong Excel capability and experience in data reconciliation.
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
* Analytical, solutions‑focused and proactive in resolving issues.
* Collaborative team player with a desire to continuously improve processes.
* Resilient and adaptable within a fast‑paced regulatory environment.
