Classroom Support Assistant Burnley £80 - £120 per day (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications) * Start Date: Monday 1st September 2025 – Flexible start dates available Full time (Monday – Friday) (Temporary to Permanent) The School and Role A ‘Good’ rated specialist provision based in Burnley is seeking to appoint a Classroom Support Assistant to work full time with students in a secondary school setting. The role will be based within a mainstream secondary school that has a dedicated unit for pupils with additional needs and behavioural challenges. You will work with pupils aged 11–16 years who may have been excluded from lessons, are at risk of exclusion, or require additional academic and emotional support due to SEND needs such as ODD, ADHD, EBD, and Dyslexia. Some students may also have a background involving social services or a history of substance misuse. You will work alongside a qualified teacher in both 1:1 and small group settings, supporting a wide range of classroom-based and vocational activities, including PE, practical subjects and life skills. This is an ideal opportunity for someone passionate about supporting secondary-aged pupils with complex needs and looking to make a genuine difference to their learning experience and long-term outcomes.
