The University of Hull invites applications for a full-time Lecturer in Creative Writing.
We are seeking a dynamic and imaginative practitioner whose creative work engages with both traditional and contemporary forms. You will join a thriving, student-focused department with a rich literary heritage and a national reputation for excellence in teaching and research. Candidates should demonstrate a growing publication profile, experience in innovative and inclusive teaching, and a commitment to interdisciplinary, collaborative practice. We particularly welcome applicants whose work intersects with digital platforms or technologies, such as multimedia storytelling, writing for screen or games, immersive media, or performance writing. Confidence in using and teaching digital tools and an awareness of the evolving role of AI in creative practice will be an advantage. The role includes teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, research development, and contributions to our vibrant academic community. We are open to job share arrangements for suitably qualified candidates.
