Chef de Partie - Prestigious Venue Near Howden
The Best Connection are currently recruiting for an experienced Chef de Partie to join our client's prestigious venue near Howden.
This role is initially offered on a temporary basis, with a strong opportunity to become a permanent position following a successful trial period.
About the Role
As a Chef within the kitchen team, you will play an integral part in delivering an exceptional dining experience. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your skills in a professional, fast-paced environment while working to a high culinary standard.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Plan and document daily kitchen requirements prior to service
* Prepare and organise food preparation areas, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in line with COSHH and HACCP guidelines
* Support the Head Chef in developing and maintaining a strong, efficient team
* Address and resolve customer feedback and complaints promptly and professionally
* Monitor kitchen operations to ensure all sanitation standards are consistently met
* Ensure all food products are fresh, within date, and suitable for preparation
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Proven experience working in banqueting or large-scale functions
* Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, processes, and equipment
* Ability to follow instructions effectively and work independently when required
* Solid understanding of food preparation and presentation
* Experience maintaining and caring for kitchen utensils and equipment
* Strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills
* Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* A proactive mindset, with an interest in menu development and innovation
* Excellent teamwork skills
* Own transport, due to the remote location of the venue
Hours, Pay and Benefits
* Full-time position (minimum 40 hours per week)
* Temporary position with the opportunity to become permanent
* Pay rate: £12.71 - £14 per hour, depending on experience
