Children’s Home Registered Manager
Barnsley
Full-time, permanent | 39 hours/week
£46,000 + up to £5,400 in bonuses
We are looking for a dedicated Registered Manager to lead a 2-bed children’s home in Barnsley, supporting young people aged 8–17 with emotional and behavioural needs.
You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high-quality care, safeguarding, and compliance with Ofsted and regulatory standards. You’ll also lead and develop a team, manage budgets, and maintain strong relationships with external partners.
What we’re looking for:
* Experience managing in children’s residential care
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Children’s Residential (or working towards)
* Strong understanding of safeguarding and children’s regulations
* Excellent leadership, organisation, and communication skills
* Driving licence and willingness to work flexibly
* £3,000 bonus for Outstanding Ofsted
* On-call payments (£25 weekday, £35 weekend)
* 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
* Mileage allowance (with business insurance)
* Supportive management and training
Standard hours are Mon–Fri 9am–5pm, but flexibility is needed to meet home needs, including occasional sleep-ins or on-call duties.
