Sessional Community Support Worker
Salary: £12.21 per hour
Location: Various projects across Tyne & Wear, Northumberland, County Durham & Tees Valley
About the role
Working in our Land and Communities team, you will engage with targeted participants who are involved with specific projects. In a diverse and busy environment, you will be supporting our Community Project Managers with the delivery of projects across the North East.
Examples of projects may include:
* Holiday Activities Programme, providing activities for children during school holidays (Easter, Summer, and Christmas)
* Green Links, regular dementia friendly project
* Active Play, a weekly children’s activity programme
* Community Learning, adult courses which provide opportunities to learn new skills
* Men’s Sheds, providing an outdoor space for men to meet and connect
There is flexibility for Sessional Community Support Workers to work on the projects that they are most suited to and to specify preferred geographical areas.
This role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure endorsed by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
