Part-Time Management Accountant | Basildon | 30 Hours Per Week | Flexible Working
A long established and highly respected manufacturing and distribution business based in Basildon is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join its finance team on a part-time basis.
Operating within both UK and international markets, the business supplies specialist medical products to public sector and private customers and offers a stable, collaborative SME environment.
This is a hands-on position suited to a commercially minded accountant who enjoys working closely with senior leadership and can operate independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of monthly management accounts
* Full month-end processes including journals, accruals and reconciliations
* Cashflow forecasting and budgeting support
* Variance analysis with clear commercial commentary
* KPI reporting and financial analysis
* Margin, stock and inventory analysis
* Oversight of aged debt and working capital
* Supporting payroll, VAT and external audit requirements
* Identifying process improvements and cost-saving opportunities
About You
* Experienced in producing full management accounts independently
* Strong Excel and analytical skills
* Comfortable in a hands on, owner led SME environment
* Experience within stock based, manufacturing or distribution businesses advantageous
* AAT qualified or studying ACCA/CIMA preferred but not essential
