Operating within a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment, you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the Trust’s facilities, supporting patient care, and creating safe, functional, and welcoming spaces. Your work will adhere to Sodexo and Trust safety standards and procedures, demonstrating commitment to excellence, quality, and the wellbeing of both staff and patients. What You’ll Do: Assist with comprehensive joinery and estate maintenance services within a healthcare environment, ensuring safety and compliance. Carry out reactive repairs, planned maintenance, installations, and minor improvements across clinical and non clinical areas. Hold practical experience and a Level 3 vocational qualification in joinery, carpentry, or a related trade. Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work from instructions; skilled in manufacturing, repairing, and maintaining joinery and structural elements. Maintain professional conduct and communicate effectively with clinical staff, contractors, and external agencies. Participate in on call duties, responding to emergency repairs outside of normal hours, including overtime work. Follow strict health and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Use communication devices, electronic job systems, for example, CAFM, Maximo, and handheld tools to manage and record work. Work sensitively in patient occupied areas, respecting privacy and dignity while understanding the clinical environment.
