A privately owned SME in Lincoln is seeking a hands‑on Finance Manager to take ownership of the day‑to‑day finance function. This is a newly created role within a £2m turnover business with clear growth ambitions, offering the chance to make a real impact and shape how finance supports the next phase of development.
You’ll be the go‑to person for all financial operations - ideal for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and being close to the detail.
The role
You’ll be responsible for managing the full finance cycle, including:
* Processing sales and purchase invoices
* Allocating receipts and payments
* Posting journals and maintaining accurate ledgers
* Bank reconciliations
* Preparing monthly management accounts
* Chasing outstanding debt
* Completing VAT returns
* Managing the relationship with the bank
* Supporting additional tasks such as overseeing outsourced payroll
* Overseeing 2 direct reports
