The company is a high-growth SaaS business developing cutting-edge technology for a range of industrial sectors. Backed by a recent £5m investment from a leading European VC, the company is scaling fast, with revenues growing from £2m to a forecasted £10m over the next 12–18 months.
The company’s AI-powered platform transforms how businesses capture and utilise data, streamlining operations and enabling predictive insights across industrial sectors like energy, mining, and infrastructure.
With strong commercial momentum and a Series B on the horizon, the company is now hiring a VP of Finance to lead the development of a modern, tech enabled finance function laying the foundations for scale before transitioning into a more strategic, commercially focused leadership role.
This is an ideal opportunity for a senior finance leader who enjoys building from the ground up, with the capability and ambition to play a key role in fundraising, strategic decision making, and long term value creation.
Responsibilities
Initial 6-12 months; Design and build a best in class, scalable finance function with appropriate systems (currently on Xero), controls and processes.
Lead on financial operations, reporting, and compliance, embedding automation and tools wherever possible to support scale.
Establish core SaaS metrics tracking and financial dashboards to support financial planning and performance monitoring.
Evolving into a broader strategic role; Work closely with the CEO, Board and department heads to shape and execute the long-term financial strategy.
Support the Series B fundraising process, including investor engagement, financial modelling, and due diligence.
Drive cross-functional strategic projects, such as pricing optimisation, international expansion, and customer profitability analysis.
Be a thought partner to the CEO and a visible finance leader across the company.
Qualifications
A qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong technical foundations and leadership experience.
Proven experience building or scaling a finance function within a high growth tech, SaaS or B2B environment.
Skilled in using automation and technology to optimise financial operations and reporting.
Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence at leadership and board level.
Corporate development experience supporting or leading fundraising and working closely with external investors.
Comfortable moving between hands on detail and high level strategic thinking.
A collaborative, proactive style; someone who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments.
