Stores Assistant
Based in Leeds, we are seeking someone to join our Flow & Water Quality Monitoring team, supporting both Flow and Water Quality Monitoring and Land and Utility Surveying operations. You will ensure all equipment is stored, maintained, and available as required, whilst being responsible for warehouse management, equipment tracking, and goods receipt and dispatch. The position offers the opportunity to support critical development projects within a company that values precision, safety, and professional development.
The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to)
Our successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties, including, but not limited to the following
* Issuing surveying equipment and consumables to field teams as required
* Scanning equipment in and out of relevant systems to maintain accurate location tracking
* Receiving and processing incoming goods and materials both physically and onto relevant systems
* Maintaining and issuing PPE and work clothes to surveyors and field crews
* Picking required equipment and consumables based on field team requests and preparing them for collection
* Checking all deliveries against documentation and ensuring safe storage
* Carrying out equipment movement between buildings (batteries, surveying equipment)
* Packaging and dispatching customer orders according to requirements
* Performing general warehouse housekeeping to ensure clean, tidy, and hazard-free environment
* Assisting with stock control processes including weekly, monthly, and annual stock counts
* Supporting facilities management including forklift operation and small building maintenance tasks
* Assisting with waste management duties and fleet vehicle management checks
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate
* Ability to carry out manual handling activities safely and effectively
* Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work
* IT skills including proficiency in Outlook and Excel
* "Can do" attitude with willingness to work collaboratively to support operational teams
* Customer-focused approach to service delivery
* Strong teamwork ethic and flexibility in approach
* Good communication skills
* Commitment to compliance with all health and safety requirements and company procedures
* Valid clean UK manual driving license
It is desirable, that you also have some or all of the following
* Previous logistics/stores/warehouse experience
* Previous experience using stock control systems
* Counterbalance forklift truck license
Travel and Flexibility
This role is based from our Northern office in Leeds, but you will be expected to visit our offices in Altrincham Sevenoaks and Coventry on occasion. Candidates must be open to working away from home during the week and accommodate night or evening shifts as needed.
