The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams to ensure every student has the tools they need to succeed.
Key responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support across KS3 and KS4 in core subjects such as English, Maths, and Science
* Assist teachers in managing behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
* Support students with SEN or additional needs, adapting learning where required
* Help track progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and parents
* Promote confidence, independence, and resilience in pupils
* Contribute to school life through clubs, mentoring, or enrichment sessions
You’ll play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

About You
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
* A CACHE Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
* Experience supporting students in a secondary school or youth setting
* Confidence managing behaviour and encouraging positive engagement
* A calm, approachable, and empathetic nature
* The ability to build strong relationships with young people and staff
* A passion for education, inclusion, and supporting pupil wellbeing
