Network Engineer – UK
Auxitrol Weston Operating Unit consists of four design & manufacturing plants; Auxitrol SA (France), Weston Aerospace Ltd (UK), Norwich Aero Products Inc. (USA) and Auxitrol Weston (Mexico). With repair capabilities in France, UK, USA, Singapore and China.
Weston Aerospace Ltd design and manufacture temperature, speed and pressure sensors for gas turbine and airframe applicationsin the UK, with a manufacturing site in Farnborough, Hampshire and another, smaller manufacturing site dedicated to analogue indicators, based in Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire.
This role reports into the Cyber Security Officer based in France.
Job Overview/Purpose:
The role of the IT Network engineer is to take direction from the Cyber Security Officer to improve the security posture within the Auxitrol Weston group of companies, predominantly around improvements on the network infrastructure, specifically VLAN segregation.
Responsibilities will be predominantly to the UK and Mexico sites but may also have Operating Unit level requirements for global projects.
This person will be located at the Farnborough site but may require travel to other sites to coordinate on projects. This is a hands‑on role and requires the individual to be onsite.
Key Responsibilities
* This role will primarily deliver the VLAN segregation project for the business, within time and quality of service targets and with minimal risk and disruption to the business.
* Work closely with other IT team members to plan, deploy, co‑ordinate, expand and support IT network projects on the Farnborough site and remote sites attached to Farnborough.
* Report project progress periodically to the Cyber Security Officer and flag issues within a timely manner.
* Participate in meetings and related activities; attend necessary workshops
Qualifications/Skills/Experience
* Experience in network management and administration (varied network vendors: HPE / Dell / Fortinet)
* Experience in infrastructure / network deployment and project management
* Experience in Vmware technology solution would be considered a bonus
* Experience in firewall management (specifically Fortigate products)

* Good communication skills are essential to work with colleagues who may speak English as a second language
* Great sense of teamwork in an international and multi-cultural environment
* Autonomous and confident, and able to work under minimal supervision
