Filming For Humanity
Community manager
Posted: 10h ago
Offer description

Filming for Humanity (FFH) produces impactful educational films, and we’re seeking a Marketing Intern to help share our stories on social media. If you love film, creativity, and purpose, we’d love you with us.

What difference will you make?

This role is crucial to the heart and soul of Filming for Humanity.

As Community Manager, you will keep our internal and external community connected, informed, and inspired, which is essential for a filmmaking organisation that relies on collaboration, creativity, and trust. Your work will bring consistency and warmth to how we communicate — ensuring that our actors, artists, volunteers, and supporters always feel included and valued.

By managing conversations, sharing opportunities, and encouraging engagement, you will strengthen the bonds between our team, our collaborators, and our wider artistic family. This sense of unity directly impacts the success of our films, our casting process, our events, and our long-term ability to grow.

Your contribution will help create a thriving, motivated, joyful community that feels proud to be part of Filming for Humanity — a community that supports our mission and helps amplify the impact of our films.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is friendly, reliable, and naturally community-minded — someone who communicates with warmth and positivity.

Essential Skills And Experience

* Experience in community management, communications, or social engagement
* Comfortable posting updates, creating small content pieces, and managing online groups
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple channels and conversations
* A genuine interest in actors, creatives, and the film world

Personal qualities we value

* Positive, uplifting, encouraging energy
* A people person — warm, kind, and approachable
* Proactive, quick to take initiative, and solution-minded
* Creative thinker with fun ideas for engagement
* Patient, diplomatic, and able to handle different personalities
* Passionate about film, community, and meaningful storytelling

Beneficial Lived Experience

* Experience working with actors, creatives, or community groups
* Familiarity with WhatsApp communities, online platforms, or artist networks
* Exposure to film, theatre, arts, social impact, or grassroots communities
* Experience in communication roles or creative industries

This role is perfect for someone who loves people and wants to help cultivate a vibrant, supportive, and joyful creative community. And we’d be truly delighted to welcome someone who brings both heart and initiative to the team.

What will you be doing?

We are looking for a warm, proactive Community Manager to help us nurture and energise the growing Filming for Humanity community — from our internal creative circle to our wider network of actors, artists, charities, and supporters.

Filming for Humanity creates educational, socially impactful movies, and our community is at the very heart of everything we do. We need someone who loves people, communication, and engagement — someone excited to help us build strong relationships, spark conversations, and bring our community to life every day.

In this role, you will manage both internal communication (team, artists, and board members) and external communication (actors, supporters, collaborators, and followers).

You’ll work with WhatsApp groups, our artist community platform, and our broader social channels to keep everyone informed, inspired, and connected.

Key priorities include

Internal Community Management

* Managing our WhatsApp groups for artists, team members, and board members
* Sharing updates, casting calls, reminders, small wins, and creative news
* Helping maintain a friendly, welcoming, positive environment
* Supporting communication between departments when needed

External Community Engagement

* Posting regular updates on our artist platform (news, opportunities, casting calls, behind-the-scenes content, film updates…)
* Encouraging conversations, engagement, and collaboration
* Welcoming new actors and creatives to our community channels
* Creating fun, fresh engagement ideas to keep our network active and excited
* Supporting the development of a strong, loyal, and vibrant community

Creative Contributions

* Helping plan small events or online activities for our actors and supporters
* Proposing new ideas for content, spotlights, or engagement features
* Sharing relevant posts that entertain, inspire, and strengthen our community identity

Your presence will help ensure our community feels seen, heard, valued, and actively part of the Filming for Humanity journey.
