Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and progressive Bookkeeper to join a dynamic team within a forward-looking accountancy practice.
This role is ideal for someone keen to move beyond traditional bookkeeping methods and fully embrace cloud-based technology to enhance efficiency and client service. You will take ownership of a varied client portfolio while contributing to the ongoing digital transformation of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
Client Portfolio Management
* Oversee the day-to-day bookkeeping for a diverse range of small, owner-managed businesses
* Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely processing of transactions
* Develop and sustain strong client relationships
Digital & Software Utilisation
* Work extensively with Xero and Dext to manage and streamline workflows
* Identify opportunities to improve processes through technology
* Support the adoption of digital tools both internally and with clients
Core Accounting Duties
* Deliver comprehensive bookkeeping services including:
o VAT returns
o Credit control
o Bank reconciliations and ledger management
* Payroll knowledge is advantageous but not essential
