My client is a retailer specialising in fitness equipment and accessories. They offer a wide range of products such as exercise machines, weights, gym accessories, and other fitness-related items. They cater to individuals and businesses looking to set up home or commercial gyms and are seeking a Store Manager to oversee the team at their Camberley showroom.
The Role:
As a key member of the UK Retail Management team, your role involves overseeing the daily operations of the store and managing the Retail Sales Team. Your enthusiasm, motivation, and sales-oriented mindset are essential to surpass sales targets.
You will be responsible for the entire in-store customer experience, collaborating with the Retail Management Team to ensure smooth operations. Leading the ambassadors, you will focus on establishing an effective team structure and providing thorough training to deliver exceptional customer service.
* Achieve and exceed sales and profitability targets
* Generate new business locally through proactive marketing efforts
* Own the customer journey and maintain a positive in-store experience
* Adapt store layout based on seasonal and shop development needs
* Organise footfall activities such as product demonstrations and promotional events
* Plan and manage resources, including recruitment, onboarding, and staff development
* Motivate and inspire the team for continuous growth
* Set and meet KPIs related to sales and profitability
* Maintain optimal stock levels, oversee maintenance, and conduct regular stock takes
* Provide regular reports to the management team (weekly, monthly, daily)
* Ensure health and safety standards for customers, visitors, and staff
* Enhance consumer review metrics
* Participate in and contribute to Retail and SMTC meetings
Key Requirements:
* Exhibit confidence, composure, and enthusiasm
* Be a dynamic, influential, and motivating retail leader
* Possess effective communication skills, both written and verbal
* Proficient in MS Office, email, VOIP systems, and back office software
* Self-motivated with a proactive approach
* Skilled in developing and improving processes
* Capable of enhancing team performance through coaching and mentoring
For the right candidate, the salary package includes a base salary of £30-35K, uncapped OTE of £10-15K, and a 50% store discount.
