Job Summary
Kiwa Fire Safety Compliance is looking for an Associate Director of Fire Safety Engineering to lead, manage, and develop a team of fire engineers within our FSE team. In this pivotal role, you will be accountable for project delivery, team performance, and driving excellence across all aspects of fire engineering.
This is a fantastic role for an experienced fire engineer looking to take the next step in their career. You'll be part of a supportive and diverse consultancy team, working on a wide range of projects across sectors. About the role
* Lead, mentor, and manage a high performing engineering team
* Identify training needs, develop professional development plans, and support team members in achieving their goals
* Oversee larger, complex projects as a Project Director, ensuring high quality delivery, risk mitigation and alignment with client and business objectives
* Management of workload distribution and pipeline for your team in collaboration with other directors in the FSE team to achieve team objectives
* Ensure that engineers deliver projects on time and within budget, while actively developing their skills, contributing fairly to the team's workload, and maintaining a proactive approach to work
* Build and maintain good relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
* Provide support to the Sales / Estimating team with producing fees / scope of service, as and when required
* Maintain a positive culture within the team
Do you have what it takes?
* Chartered Fire Engineer or significantly working towards Chartership with IFE or equivalent
* Proficient knowledge of relevant fire safety standards and fire safety legislation, fire engineering knowledge and understanding to apply technical and practical skills
* Strong leadership and team management skills, experience in building, mentoring and leading high performing teams
* Ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve goals
* Ability to manage numerous challenges in a busy environment
* Excellent project management, communication, and report writing skills
* Relevant experience of balancing the needs of Customers, Shareholders and Employees
* Dynamism, aptitude for problem solving and teamwork, accuracy, reliability and results oriented
* Willingness to travel as and when required
* Trusted to deal with confidential information
What can you expect from us in return?
* £75,000 - £94,000 per annum
