Responsibilities
* Lead 15 technical, administrative and contact centre staff enhancing a customer‑centric culture in line with council values and service standards.
* Directly manage 3 technical and contact centre team leaders, 2 contract administrators and a voids officer.
* Effectively and robustly manage the core repairs and void contractor ensuring performance meets required standards.
* Ensure effective identification of repairs and appointment making at first point of contact.
* Oversee the responsive repairs aspects and performance of Gas, Electric and other specialist compliance contracts, in conjunction with Compliance Officers.
* Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing technical advice and support.
* Have oversight of all budgets and ensure effective processes for valuations and prompt contractor payments.
* Ensure the team and contractors comply with all health and safety and compliance requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
* Professional membership (RICS, CIOB or equivalent).
* Significant experience managing a repairs service, ideally with external contractors.
* Excellent contract and project management skills.
* Knowledge of health and safety and the Big 6 compliance areas related to repairs and voids.
* Strong communication, problem‑solving and organisational skills.
* Driving licence or access to transport.
