We are a friendly and supportive GP practice in the heart ofMoordown, Bournemouth, looking for a GP to join us for 2 sessions every Friday.
This is a great opportunity to work in a well-established,patient-focused practice with a collaborative clinical and administrative team.
Day: Fridays only

Contract Type: Fixed salaried GP 8-12 months to covermaternity leave
SystmOne practice
Established PCN includingANP led frailty team, physios, mental health nurses, pharmacists andtechs.
6 weeks holiday and 1 week study leave (pro rata)
4 GP partners, 3 GP salaried,2 practice nurses and a HCA andphlebotomist.
Very low visit rates

Telephone triage
F2F (15 mins routine)
Telephone appointments (10 minutes)
Electronic consultations.

Job responsibilities
To work as an autonomouspractitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practicepopulation, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complyingwith the contract.
Furthermore, the post holder will adhere to theGMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effectivemanagement of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive,collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.
The following are the core responsibilities of the Salaried GP. Theremay be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will bedependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
The delivery ofhighly effective medical care to the entitled population
The provision ofservices commensurate with the primary care contract
Genericprescribing adhering to local and national guidance
Effectivemanagement of long-term conditions
Processing ofadministration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescriptionrequests and other associated administrative tasks
On a rotationalbasis (1 in 4), undertake duty doctor roles
Maintainaccurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy andguidance
Workcollaboratively, accepting an agreed and equal share of the practice workload
Adhere to bestpractice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
Contribute tothe successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiativeswithin the practice
Attend andcontribute effectively to practice meetings as required
Contributeeffective to the development and maintenance of the practice including clinicalgovernance and training
Ensurecompliance with the appraisal process
Prepare andcomplete the revalidation process
Commit toself-learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional development acrossthe practice team
Review andalways adhere to practice protocols and policies
Encouragecollaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly, always promoting aculture of continuous improvement

Qualifications
* Medical Degree
* Qualified as GP
* Full registration with GMC
