Support worker - EBD Children's home Willow Tree Kids Care Home is in Kingston

Duties:
* Provide support and assistance to individuals with disabilities or special needs
* Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management
* Support individuals in participating in community activities and social events - Help individuals develop and maintain independent living skills
* Document and report any changes in behaviour or health status to appropriate personnel
* Collaborate with a team of professionals to create and implement individualized care plans
Skills
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Empathy and compassion for individuals with disabilities or special needs
* Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of individuals
* Basic computer skills for documentation purposes
* Knowledge of relevant safety protocols and procedures

Schedule:
* Rotating 2 week rota
* 12 hour shift
* Day shift
* Night shift
* Weekend availability for Saturday & Sunday Shift
Qualifications
* Strong communication skills
* Experience working with children in a residential setting
* Ability to create and implement care plans
* Proficiency in childcare practices
* Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting
* Valid driver's license for transporting children when necessary
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Pay: £12.21-£13.00 per hour
