We’re looking for a passionate and motivated Sous Chef to join our busy kitchen team at Leeds University Union. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced chef to step into a role where you’ll lead, coach, and inspire a small team, while helping deliver a high-quality food offering in a vibrant student environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the Kitchen Manager in day-to-day operations
2. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes during service
3. Supervise, train, and motivate catering staff
4. Maintain excellent food safety and hygiene standards
5. Manage stock, reduce waste, and work to budgets
About You:
6. Minimum 3 years’ kitchen experience (1 year in a supervisory role preferred)
7. Passion for fresh food and developing others
8. Strong teamwork and communication skills
9. Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety standards
