Job Title: Quality EngineerLocation: LiverpoolSalary: £42,000 - £45,000 (DOE) annual bonusShifts: Mon - Fri (8am-5pm)Contract: PermanentOur client is a well-established business who specialise in the design and manufacture in precision tools and equipment for high profile clients within the Automotive, Oil & Gas and Construction industries.We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer who can supervise a small team, conduct process/audits and engage in new products to ensure product developments are exact to customer specifications. As the Quality Engineer, your duties will be: Maintain and develop the Quality Management System in line with ISO9001 requirements Engage in new product introduction activities Ensure compliance to customer specifications Manage and resolve customer, supplier, and internal non-conformances. Conduct process and product audits periodically. Identify and act upon opportunities for improvement Generate process related documentation including work instructions, quality alerts, PFMEA's, control plans etc. Support with production trials Develop and report on COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) within business. Oversee customer and internally driven engineering changes. Supervise and lead a team of 3 shift QC personnel. As the Quality Engineer you will have the following skills and experiences: Must have a solid working history within a similar role. Excellent customer-facing experience. Working knowledge of core quality tools including FMEA, APQP, SPC, MSA & PPAP An ability to read and interpret technical drawings Understanding of problem-solving tools Operation of a CMM / Faro arm Some supervisory experience Ability / experience with Polyworks Knowledge of IMDS
